I have a TSST TS-h653n disc drive which wants to act like what it is... a piece of crap.
Just the other day it was working, then I put in an extra Internal HDD(Now removed.) and it was an IDE HDD... Anyways now it wants to fail.
Now, I am a very computer smart person... In fact the computer that I'm using I built... Sometimes though like in this situation I've got to reach out to the community for help though... Well I've visited Device Manager and it detects the drive and says its functioning fine, and in computer the drive is listed but not like it usually is... Different drive logo. When I put in a Game, or any type of undamaged disc it just says "insert disc" even though its already in the tray it wants to act like it isn't...
What I've tried.
- Disabling, re-enabling through Device Manager.
-Unistalling, Re-Installing the Windows 7 default driver for the drive.
-Restarting several times.
-Checking my BIOS to see if listed as usual- Yes.
-Researching on the internet, no results found.
-Checking my computer internals for any hardware problems like the sata/ data cord unplugged, or power, etc...
Nothing, I have no other idea how to solve this... Please help meh.
My General Specs:
-Custom Built Computer.
-Intel 2.4GHz 775 w/ gigabyte ep45-ud3l mobo.
-4GB RAM
-768mb ddr3 192 bit video card by NvIDIA and PNY (9600)
-Samsung F3 1TB HDD.
-TSST Corp TS-h653n Disc Drive.
-Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
