So my cell got sent into bell to get fixed and i am going to get an unlocked phone to put my sim card in and use until i get mine back, will my network provider charge an activation fee for me putting my card in a new phone or is it only if you take it in to them to do?

First off don't go to your network provider to have them put the card in because you will be violating their contract and you will no longer have coverage/warranty because it will be voided. They won't charge you an activation fee if they don't know you're using another phone for it, I don't think they could even charge an activation fee. When I put my SIM Card in an unlocked lg phone (using AT&T for a carrier) I never got charged an activation fee or any other fees for putting the SIM card in a new phone. As long as it's unlocked it should work but read up and make sure it works with you're carrier if you get an unlocked phone and have straighttalk or a prepaid service the SIM card will NOT work in that phone because straighttalk and other prepaid service providers use the CDMA network but the unlocked phone you will probably get would be a GSM network so read up and see which network the phone runs!
