Cell phone contract dispute?

Ok I was with Tmobile for two years. I had two phones under the contract in the family plan. My phone's contract ended in October, and the other Ended in December (cause we updated the phone it restarted that lines contract) Anyhow, When my contract ended with my phone in october I left and went to another provider, cancelling my service with them. Yet I kept the other line open until December rolled around in which that lines contract ended, then I cancelled that line too. Yet for some reason though my bill never went cheaper after I cancelled the first line? It stayed the same for the remainder of the second lines contract. When I confronted them about the issue they said because its under a family plan both lines are connected. But wait why do I have seperate contract dates if thats the case? Doesn't make sense? So basically I'm refusing to make the full payment for something so dumb unless you can understand it better. Please help. Also whats the worst that can happen if I don't pay for those last two months of the second line?

You are both right. On a family shared plan, you pay the family shared plan amount. It does not matter that each phone has different contract end dates. That only means that each line was either started or upgraded at different dates. Now you mentioned that you had canceled the first line, if you only had two (2) lines and canceled one (1), you cannot be on a family plan as a family shared plan required a minimum of two (2) lines to be active. Once you canceled the first line, they should have reduced your plan to and individual plan. If I were you, I would call them back and dispute it by letting them know that there was only one (1) line on a family shared plan for the remainder of the second (2nd) line's contract which should not have been possible. Be "reasonably" upset and be loud but not so loud and upset that you're obnoxious. Good luck.
