I have a opportunity to buy this book for my sister as a present who is an avid reader/collector. A Christmas Story autographed copy by Charles Dickens Great Great Great Grandson. Would something like this have any Value to a collector and what would a good offer be for this book if autograph can be verified? Value if autograph CAN'T be verified?. Says book in good shape. Thanks

Sorry to say that I don't think the autograph of a distant relative of a famous author would be worth anything. Who is the author of the book?

An autographed copy of a book, esp. if it's related to your sister's interests, is a good gift idea though. www.alibris.com books is a good source of old books. Click on "rare and collectible" at the top of their page and you can search for autographed editions. Most of the sellers on alibris seem reputable. I have used them with success. Good luck!
