I've had checking account with Chase for over year now, and now i'm planning to sign up for a Chase credit card. Does anyone know what would be the best for me? btw, im 19, and will only need the credit card for school purchases, night outs, and some clothing. any help will be really appreciated. thanks.

Stay away from credit cards. They are designed to do nothing but get and keep people in debt. That's all. Same with the fico score.

a debit card is the way to go

credit card = debt
debit card = cash

Chase is not an easy company to deal with. Check out the impartial ratings of various cards and offers through bankrate.com. Your loyalty should be to you, not to any bank. Consider also any credit unions you belong to for better rates on credit cards. Make sure to avoid the credit card traps so many young people are in. Don't be afraid to pay cash and leave the credit card for ID and other purposes.

Get the one that has no annual fee.
Don't even look at the APR - you will never pay it since you want to develop top credit.

When you don't pay your credit card in full - that's when you start destroying your life and your credit.
Charge a little something each month, and pay it in full the day the bill comes in the mail.
That will get you amazing credit,
without never paying a penny interest or APR.
Don't let old ladies make you believe that carrying balances is good - in actuality it destroys lives.
