ive seen a few christians on here suggst they see our being compared to or described as an 'animal' insulting
for those who do, why?
for those who dont, why not?

We are biologically animals. No argument. It is the atheist position - that we are no more than animals - which is seriously flawed. We have a spiritual nature in addition to our biological nature, an immortal soul, moral capacity and free will, which distinguish us from and place us far above, all other biological entities.

Because people are not animals, and animals are not people.

People are created in the image of God, so every person is of infinitely more value and is infinitely higher than all the animals combined. There is literally an infinite difference, and so there is simply no comparison.
