...of the Savior Jesus Christ? "When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand." (Ezekiel 3:18)

"Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men..." (2Corinthians 5:11)

It is a job given to Christians by Christ and we will give an account to the Lord for not doing so.

"So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God" (Romans 14:12)
@ Pagan Dan – (who claims to be Christians lol)
With out explaining you post I would assume I hit on your guilty conscience

Oh, now that's a fun one. Nothing better than a god of 'love' letting his followers know that they'll be in charge of killing the unbelievers they failed to warn.

It's a shame that since your god has tasked you with "persuading men" that it gave you so little in the way of material that is actually persuasive to the educated eye.

No, I'm warning them of people like you, and recommending that they give those people a WIDE berth.

Some are, some aren't, and I agree that in terms of theological consistency those that do are the easier to understand and respect.

But why is it that those keenest on spreading the Gospel are almost invariably the very people least able to communicate well with non-Christians?
You'd think if the message was important some effort would have been put into getting across as well as possible, with consideration of the intended audience.
Wouldn't you?

Fishermen who "fish" by heaving boulders into the lake, many of them.

I was listening to a radio pastor the other day, who talked about the rules for reading the Bible and quoting from it. He said, "Text, without context, is pretext". You would do well to heed his counsel, before you encourage anybody else to mock us and our God.

Yes
Those that are not are blood guilty and are not living up to the teaching of the Christ, and prove their hypocrisy and so are not Christians.

you seem to be reading the bible in an umm ... unusual way.
you seem to u/stand what you quoted in a twisted, malicious form.

God is good ... but you try to corner us with your malice.
not too smart ... evidently.

I am so doing my best.....also I want to encourage the believers so, in their trials and pains of suffering, that they will look up to Christ who Loves them so much and be filled with peace. Us unbelievers need an encouraging huge ever so often. We suffer but just in a different way. Seeing sin so prevalent amongst us and the pain in other peoples eyes is a real heart break. I had an encouraging moment yesterday..God brought to mind how He loves me by an experience on how I love someone and then just magnified it. I hope I can hold on to it and love unconditionally like He does. Great moment and answered a lot of questions for me. Thank you Jesus

Perhaps Pagan Dan could come back and explain to me what is out of context. I read this question and accompanying verses twice and can find nothing being taken out of context. Perhaps a nerve was touched.

@JTB I have at times felt a guilty pang in my heart at the news of some people passing. They are always the ones I was not sure if they accepted the salvation message or not, perhaps I could have done a better job of sharing the good news with some folks.

God bless

I'm warning people (even Christians) that God threatens them with eternal torture if they don't have a clean heart (Matthew 18:34-35; 1 Peter 1:22; 1 Peter 4:8) and that the judgment is in your last moments, not after death (Hebrews 9:27).

Yeah but then we ask them for any shred of evidence supporting their imaginary sky-pixie, and they shut up and leave.
We both know your god is no more real than a leprechaun or a fairy...

My answer would be yes they do. They seem to be congregating on my doorstep, trying to convert me.

Nope.. just waiting anxiously to see how this year's American Idol is going to pan out now that Simon is leaving!!
