My husband and I are not Christians, but our family is. We are expecting our first child, a boy, and will not be circumcising him. Do you think our family will have a problem with that due to religious reasons? They are all evangelical Christians. I don't think there's anything in the New Testament that indicates that men should have cut off their foreskins, because Jesus did say that what matters is not circumcision of the body but circumcision of the HEART.
Thanks for your thoughts. Also, I'd appreciate objective answers with no attempts to tell me that I should be a Christian or I need to come back to Jesus--because that's not going to happen. I don't believe in fairy tales. I just want to be able to understand what the New Testament says about this issue.
