in my attempts to refute YEC?
My father says 2 Peter 3:8 emphasizes God's limitlessness. It does not have anything to do with Genesis 1 and in Genesis 1, a day is 24 hours. Yet the earth is old.
He showed me these:
Job 38:4 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=job%2038:4&version=NASB;
Job 37:23 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=job%2037:23&version=NASB;
He says find means we can't count and calculate about God and His work.
So have I been using human terms? Because I tried to show how the earth is old by misquoting 2 Peter 3:8. Just a realization that came to me today after a talk with my father.
"We cannot count and calculate about God and His work."
Do you agree with this?
