Doesn't having faith in Christ Jesus as our saviour, love for one another and following the commandments and obeying his word suffice? Why should one approach people by fear other than by love and a good example .. should you not lead that good example (lifestyle) and spread the love of Christ.. How would one approach the issue of Hell?
(And please no anti-christian hate mail, or "grow-up" stuff, I've hear it all and I really need a good answer so please respect that, thank you).

I can save you some time and tell you we do not want to hear about it. All you are going to do is reinforce our stereotype that you are intolerant of our lifestyle. While this may not be your intention, it is how you will come across.

If we want to know more about Jesus, we will ask you about it. Please do not push your religion on us, as we are adults who make our own decisions. Please respect our beliefs the way you want us to respect yours.

If it is important you will want to share it. (To do so is an instruction from Jesus anyway)
Do so lovingly as you say
If you must preach Hell (and it is rarely an issue) do it with a breaking heart.
You will catch more flies with honey than vinegar.

I'm sure you have heard of spiritual gifts. I see it in that way. Some people are given the gift of spreading the gospel with their lips while others with their actions. To each his own.

Hell, lol. Wow. Ok, so, I have thought a lot about this and these are my current conclusions which are by no means conclusive;). Jews do not believe in Hell the way that Christians do which is telling seeing as how we worship the same God and he spoke to them first. An intelligent yahoo answerer also reminded me about the verses speaking about the meek inheriting the Earth. The Bible also says only a small few will actually get to go to heaven. There are other verses saying we came from the dirt and some will go back to dirt. Putting all of this together I figure some amazing people will go to heaven, most will inherit the Earth and the rest will go through a sort of purgatory (which I think Jews also believe) and some others may be destroyed. I do not feel that God created us in love, gave us a tree of knowledge of good and evil and then planned to destroy or have most of us suffer eternally. That is what my heart (and some study) has lead me to believe. Pray about it, do some research, listen to intelligent opinions and come to your own conclusions. It's all we can do until we reach the other side. God bless:)

Like I said, you have to be honest with people and tell them the truth.

Jesus did not run around telling people they were good people and they will make it to heaven rejecting him.

well hell is vary real, when i first read the book of revelations it scared the piss out of me... i thought never could i be around and take this, especially if i am a sinner. but the fact is this is what will happen, and vary plainly God revealed it to us that we should KNOW what to look for, and what to expect to come. it is not meant to be a scare story by God, but God wanted to let us know what would come, so that we might chose our path according to what we know and not be left in the dark. has no one told you of Jesus? no God would not leave his people in the dark! have you been un able to repent to God to be saved? no thats not the case either, one thing you should always keep in mind is God. So then know the story, and choose the path you wish.

like in indiana jones, "choose wisely" cuz one path will lead you straight to death(dont you remember that guys face that decomposed in like a second) of you will be lead to live, and be healed(like how indy healed his dads bullet wound)

One of the commands we must obey is to share the gospel. The bible illustrates our responsibility with this parable: If a watchman sees an enemy coming and does not sound the alarm, then the blood of those who are attacked is on his head. If he sees an enemy coming and sounds an alarm, but the people take no heed, the blood is on their own heads. The watchman is clear.

Concerning how to share the gospel, I have a few tips.
1. Ask the Holy Spirit for permission to witness.
2. Be sociable.
3. Wait for an opportunity to share the gospel in your conversation with the person.
4. If no opportunity arises, ask politely for permission to talk on the subject.
5. Begin from God's perspective. Talk about how He is holy, but that we have all sinned.
6. Don't present salvation as a fix for this life. If anything, being a Christian makes this life rougher, and someone who decides to try Christ on just to see how well he works will fall away when trouble comes.
7. If he declines salvation, or even to let you talk, honor his decision.
8. If he accepts Christ, give him what he needs to start his new life in Christ. Make sure he knows to pray, read his bible, get into a good church and be baptized.

It is not our responsibility as Christians to force or convert anyone. Some are just not ready to accept the truth. We plant a seed of the truth and move, God is the only one that can make a seed grow.

We are like "news casters", we proclaim the good news and let people decide if they should believe or not. that's were our responsibility ends. If anyone returns to ask more questions than we continue to proclaim the truth.

We do not place guilt-trips on anyone concerning hell to make believer out them. The truth will set them free, if they accept.

Hell is a mistranslation of the words that mean grave / tomb. It is turning away many from God.

Many hells' advocates are out to threaten others.

If all has to suffer in hell then why Jesus died as ransom for all?

Well you should just let your light shine, plant the seed, and let God do the rest. It is not our job to convert people. We are supposed to live by example so that others would desire the love and peace that God brings when we obey and trust in HIM.
