...free will? Recently, a Free will theist prayed that I would "see truth".
Now to all free will theists: If you pray that a Calvinist,Atheist,Catholic, etc to see truth, wouldn't God have to violate our free will to do this?
Now if you say only God can violate Free will, doesn't this also contradict your doctrine? Free willers often say "God didn't create us to be robots". But if God can violate free will, and yet didn't create us to be robots, isn't that a contradiction also?
@Leslie Goudy- John 6:44 "NO MAN CAN COME TO ME, except the Father which hath sent me DRAW HIM: and I will raise him up at the last day.
@Psalm 100:30-You're describing "choice" not free will. Free will is a doctrine in witch man can make there own decisions without God. Calvinist and Free willers have NEVER been arguing if we can choose. We have been arguing whether God makes the choices or man does.
@Camille- I truly believe that you have lost your sanity. Arminianism=ROAD TO ATHEISM!
@goodanddead- I'm pretty sure St.Paul would have a different opinion. God touched his heart, and he believed.
@Max- John 6:65 "And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father."
God willing decides on who is saved, and who is not.
@Jonathan- Its pretty self explanatory. If God is making choices on our salvation, it contradicts free will. You might say that its a choice to come to Christ. Witch is true, but how do you it was you making the decision and not God Almighty?
@Camille- P.S. If I'm a Atheist, why exactly would I put "Defender of the Gospel" as my name?
