Christians- Just because you can make choices doesn't mean you have freewill does it?

The American Heritage College Dictionary:

"free will n. 1. The ability or discretion to choose; free choice. 2. The power of making free choices that are unconstrained by external circumstances or by an agency such as fate or divine will."

My Meriam-Webster Collegiate Dictionary/Eleventh Edition has an even more precise definition:

"free will n. freedom of humans to make choices that are not determined by prior causes or by divine intervention."

See my point? If we truly have freewill than neither God nor the devil can or does influence any of our choices. So i ask again can anyone give me bible verses that support the DOCTRINE of freewill. It is a doctrine. If it were a fact God would have NO impact on our lives.

I think you do not understand free-will and choices. Because you can be influenced you make a choice with your free-will. The devil might influence you to do something wrong, but you must make the choice to either do it or not to do it. The same with Jesus. You make the choice to either accept Him or to reject Him. It is solely your choice.

Can you make a choice without a free will to do so?There will be World dictator's during the time span of the 7 HIDDEN SEALS' of Revelation's.You will not have free will during those times.

We have free moral agency neighbor. neither God nor Satan control us, possess us or force us to do anything. If you want to drive your car over the edge of the Grand Canyon, I guarantee that God will let you. Inspiration is not undue influence. it can be be ignored. All God does is inspire us. It is also all he will let Satan do during this last epoch of the reign of man.

Yes. It means we have the free will to make them. Sadly, for many of us the choices we have made or will make may have bad consequences. Because of that, many people think we don't have free agency/free will. It would be good if they realized that they have the right to choose to do something, but they don't have the right to choose the consequences of their choice(s). Check out Romans 2: 6-10. KJV-The Holy Bible. Hopefully that will help you understand what I'm trying to say.

No no no! Look, God gave us a choice between following him and evil. The reason for this is, well, think about it. If you had a child, would you not want it to love you out of choice, and not because it was told to?
I can't find just one verse in particular that supports this.
God has as much impact as we let Him have. Because of choice.

That doesn't mean we aren't influenced by God or any other external circumstances, only that ultimately we must make choices for ourselves based on those influences. Nobody really makes any choice that is totally unconstrained by external circumstances, so that definition is ridiculous.

There isn't any Bible verse the supports it.Just Because we have the ability to choose doesn't mean we have free will. Maybe to a certain extent we have free will. But not 100%. If we have total free will than I could just walk of hell because I don't like it.
