Christians, what makes you think animals won't be given an afterlife after so...

...many humans have prayed for it? What if a group comes before christ and prays for all animals, all living things to receive an afterlife like us humans?

Why wouldn't god give animals an afterlife even after so many have prayed for it to come true?

I think they may linger but the fact that they do not know right from wrong makes me wonder. I don't believe in heaven and hell but that we are on a different plain at death maybe animals are there as well... why not?

animals dont have souls that transcend the capabilities of matter (love, reason, et cetera), so there's no reason to believe that their souls are immortal. We do acknowledge that animals (and plants) have souls, but not eternal souls.

That doesn't mean that we wont enjoy the company of our animal friends in the next life though. Also, St. Francis of Asissi was reknowned for giving sermons to sparrows and other animals, and being more devoted to the subject, he might of had a better understanding of them then I do.

Which god? I worship and pray to Thor. He answers all my prayers! He promises to send all animals to heaven that are born again and accept only Thor as their saviour.

All animals who don't accept Thor as their one true god, will burn for all eternity in a huge lake of scorching red hott molten lava and fire, regardless if they were good animals or not!!

Thor Bless You.

For one, prayer is not a candy machine. We do not deposit prayer and get whatever we desire. For two, animals are not made in the image and likeness of God, by His own designation and plan. However, revelation teaches us that in the New Earth, after the Last Judgment, animals will live with us in an undying paradise here again. They do not have an afterlife, but they will remain with us, being a reflection of our own dignity and God's love for us. I hope this helps. :)

-Jesus was a human and died for humans; He didn't die for animals.

-Animals never sinned against God and they cannot sin against God.

-Animals cannot exercise faith in God even if atonement were provided for them.
