Cigarette that's not a cigarette?

I auditioned for a play, but the character I auditioned smokes and i don't smoke. What can I use that looks like I'm smoking a cigarette but not really? And one that doesn't harm me like a cigarette would or make me smell like one. Basically no effects on my body.
We are also recording it, and my teacher wants to make it real as possible, so were doing almost everything that the character does.
