Let me get this straight. Proof of God comes from the bible, who God wrote, which proves God, who wrote the bible, which proves God, ect.
Why do you believe this?

In one sense the Bible is nothing more than turning a fictitious tribal god into the grand creator and world judge. A blend of nationalism and religious bias no doubt. We are expected to take ancient writings from one corner of the globe as the very words of this universal deity.

The bible was written by holy men who gathered the many teachings of the hebrew beliefs, and the new testament was written (presumably) by Jesus' apostals.

But really it doesn't make sense for humans to write the bible anyway. Shouldn't this divine book be from the heavens themselves? I totally agree with you on the point that Christianity is in reality only secular...

Try atheism, it's fun!

The Holy Spirit makes the difference. If you are not being wooed by it, the Bible is probably going to seem like fiction to you.

I will refer you to a document called the Summa Theologicae, written by St. Thomas Aquinas. It contains detailed philosophical arguments for the existence of God. God didn't write the Bible. He inspired people to write it. There is a big difference.

The bible isnt proof, the bible is the rules christians live by.
The bible tell us that "blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed"
we do not need to look for proof other than look out of the window, as everything is beautiful and perfect, how can this just be coincidence.

I certainly don't.
It would seem that to take all of that literally would be an indication of lazy thinking.
It's easier and safer for some not to think, or debate, or use reason.

Somewhere in the old testament God says "come now, let us reason together, not on circular reasoning; but though your sins be red as crimson, they shall be made white. Though your reasoning be carnal, it shall be made spiritual"

Because the Bible is also a valid historical source, with every reason to be trusted the same as the other ancient texts we deem as "reliable." The Bible just gets automatically discredited because it contains writing about miracles and supernatural events.

its not circles

god tells us by the holy spirit he had men write the bible
the men who experienced god wrote what god told them too.

let me get this straight you believe what some person wrote 2000 years ago because they claimed it was true or what the ancient Egyptians wrote in hieroglyphics on walls.

it has to be true right because it appears on a wall and it is in a ancient language?
