City Of Bones, the worst written book ever?

I think the series gets better, but it IS and young adult book and the writing is different if you're not used to less formal english writing. I mean, it may be rushed but I think it has an attention grabber and yes, the first one was slow for me also. The first book made me angry so I stopped the series for about 2 years, picked up the second book this year and couldn't put it down! I say keep going, but it's up to you : )

I have started reading city of bones and have reached part two but i don't think i can go on!. The writing is terrible! Clary has spent one day learning about shadowhunters and all that and now shes and expert? Its rushed and unbelievable and completely predictable, i guessed the whole valentine thing and jocelyn from the start and now all my other guesses are coming true, its dumb.
What do you think? Should I continue or give it up?
