The promise of many sword swinging games for the Wii doesn't inspire one with a great deal of hope for developer creativity, nor does budget publisher D3Publisher's track record—though that Earth Defense Force series is a real champ—force me to stand up and take notice, but I'm going to give the newly announced Dragon Blade: Wrath of Fire the benefit of the doubt. It actually looks pretty good, like a softer, gentler God of War for the Wii crowd. Graphically, it's got its ups and downs, but it looks like a possible contender. Michael McWhertor
