Clutch/gearshift, Mazda Miata, 1993?

I own a Mazda Miata since 1993, total number of miles to date 67000. The clutch/gear shift is beginning to make a noise, gear shifting is not a problem. Can the clutch/gearshift be adjusted/calibrated, or do I need a new clutch/gearshift. I do not know much about cars. I care for them and enjoy my Miata but, do not mechanical work. What would be a fair cost to handle this problem? I'm too old to begin to learn about mechanical work. Other than that, the car is in excellent conditions.
