I have all my parts, now what?
Do I need thermal paste?Antistatic wristsbands? anything else I need?
I ended up getting really confused when looking at a person hooking the power supply up.

congratulations on getting all the parts. now is time for you to connect and plug in everthing. please make sure that the pc is not connected to any power source while assembling the pc.

no need for thermal paste if you dont plan to overclock.

no need for wristband, just assemble everything wearing boxers. avoid shaggy carpet and do everything on a wooden table preferably.

happy building and welcome to the world of pcgrownups.

(if all seems confusing, just refer to motherboard manual)

Well building a computer is actually pretty simple.

If you bought a full CPU package, you won't need extra thermal paste, it should already be on the heat-sink.

Anti-static wristbands are more of a paranoia thing, though I might do it if you're worried about getting ANY static on you while the computer case is open or you're handling parts.

Make sure you have a screwdriver, and your motherboard manual because that'll be required to plug in the case lights, case speaker, etc.

For installing the power supply, there's only one place the main 20+4 pin part can go, so that's easy. It's pretty much all about finding what plugs into what. Note that you'll need to make sure you have a pretty decent power supply, and if it's under 500 for a newer processor and graphics card, I'd return it and get a more powerful one.
