Computer crashed and can't install norton?

I've had to reboot my computer because it crashed for no apparent reason and now my disk drive won't work so i can't install norton or my microsoft office is there anyway i can get these without having to by a new disk drive or downloading illegally?

I'm running vista thanks in advance!

update all drivers via microsoft's website and the manufacturer of your machine, if the drive just stopped working it is likely just a driver problem.

you can download a trial copy of norton's but you are out on office.
