will be the buyer? The Ontario Teachers Pension Plan has put its majority share (66%) of Maple Leaf Sports And Entertainment officially up for sale today:

"The Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan today stated that it will explore the possibility of selling its 66% majority share of Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment, and will be making no further public comment on the matter."

MLSE currently owns the NHL's Maple Leafs, NBA's Raptors, AHL's Marlies, and MLS' Toronto FC.

The asking price is reportedly between $1.3-$1.5 billion.

Who do you think are the people who have expressed interest?

Yup this is old news.

Apparently "Rogers" is looking to buy the Raptors, Leafs, etc, and they also own the Jays.

Just imagine, Rogers would own half of Toronto o_O
