I don't like the idea of organized religion, I think the idea of God is personal and lies in yourself, not public. I believe that how you act and treat others in life is more important than whether or not you blindly accept the ideas that every other religion would argue is wrong. I believe in treating others as a fellow human who is in the same place that I am in, not judging others for any belief, idea, or culture they act upon. We all have our reasons, who am I to judge them as being wrong?(this doesn't mean I agree with or condone them, but that "it is as it is" and there is no "right" or "wrong" in the world, only actions.)

I don't believe there is or isn't a god, but that there is something out there that I do not and could not ever understand. The act of claiming to understand it is heresy, if it wanted to make itself known it would have; and saying you know god's intentions in any way(i.e. the bible, claiming others go to hell, saying their belief are wrong etc) means that you aren't truely believing in a higher power but are afraid of the unknown and simply trying to make sense of your confusing place in the universe.

I believe in the here and now - that if we were placed on this world for a reason it isn't simply to spend our precious time devoting ourselfs entirely to pleasing the invisible master hand. I think we are here to understand who we are and live life to the fullest, one must first understand himself to be able to understand his surroundings and only then will we be able to understand a higher power.

If god exists he isn't a loving or hateful being, he simply exists the same way we do, to live out his life and perhaps trying to understand if there is a power higher than him. I believe in science as the truth of our world and evolution. God didn't create us specifically, if he even exists and created the universe then we are nothing but a biproduct.

All that being said, my personal beliefs are as follows.
God doesn't exist as a person, place, thing, time, or object but rather an idea and idea's certainly have the power to change their surroundings, making god a reality in that fact.
I don't rule out the possibility of a higher power but simply believe it doesn't rule our lives in any way.
I don't believe in the idea of an afterlife (although it would be nice) but more of reincarnation; that we are being made of energy and that energy is recycled and reborn (energy can only be transferred, not created or destroyed.)
I believe our actions and how we treat others is what should matter first and foremost in life.
I believe religion is not a belief in a higher power, but rather a collection of similar beliefs and desires in life, I would classify atheism as its own psuedo-religion.
I believe Jesus was nothing but a person who accomplished extraordinary feats in life, not a part of some holy trinity or a divine being.

Sorry for it being so long, but I would like to know what religion best matches my ideas.
