Contract Sidekick plan on unlocked iPhone will this affect the bill?

Hey im thinking about buying an iPhone and putting my sidekicks sim in it. If i do will it affect the bill or will features not included just not work? I know I put my sidekick sim in a nokia nuron and it worked just fine.
