Convert Divx to DVD?

I have several old movies (downloaded legally) that I'd like to convert to a format playable on a stand-alone DVD player.
Any ideas please? :)
Thanks for your answers, but when I burn to DVD they wont play on 'standalone'.... only on PC. Tried Nero8. to burn etc but no joy?
Is it my DVD player that's at fault?

Heres the thing there are divx compatible dvd players on the market for as low as 39 dollars... it may be wise to invest in that , then wait the two to three hours it would take to convert your divx movies.
Second the quality on a divx to dvd movie wont be the same.... divx dvd players retain the hirez of the file.

"Convert X to DVD" is a good program for what you want.

Most recent DVD players can play divX movies directly as they are without the need for conversion and they are relatively cheap. They should have the divX logo on them.

Older ones like apparently the one you have, can not. It's not the burning software you use but your DVD player that is the problem.
