What are the different choices for cooking INSIDE the house when there is a power failure?
Someone mentioned to me an alcohol fueled stove would be good. Is that true? Is it safe inside the house? Here is a link to that type of stove :

I haven't seen the website but growing up my parents used this whenever we went camping or to the snow.

Why don't you try bar-b-q's. You can cook anything on a bar-b-q. Meats, veggies, tortillas, rice, beans, pastas. Whatever. Its fire! Besides, your food will taste delicious! If you don't have one already, grills cost about $20.00 to $40.00 dollars now.

I knew a couple who could not afford to pay for their utilities and they bar-b-q'd everything and anything.
