I opened this question a few days ago. I am going to re-open it.

While I was driving on the highway last night, I noticed my temp Gage would go from about a quarter to half way...then slowly go back down to a quarter and then back to half way...It kept doing this the whole 10 miles I was on the road. When I got on the side roads going about 40mph, it would do this, but not the extreme as it was on the highway.

I have plenty of coolant, I am not leaking anything major...The truck is 15 years old so occasionally there is a small dark spot, but nothing major. There are no unusual sounds. The head gasket has been replaced and the radiator has been flushed a few times since I have had the truck. I am still getting heat...nothing seems out of the ordinary accept the Gage movement. Also...just to add...The high last night was about 10 degrees.

Any ideas on what this could be?

***I replaced the thermostat last night and it still does this.***
