...am taking? I plan to get homeschooled, but I would like to continue taking the same courses, so I wouldn't have wasted almost an entire school year.
Sure! I was in kindergarten for half a year when my mom pulled me and started homeschooling us kids. Partly, because we were moving and also because my sister and I thought it'd be fun to be home schooled. Anyway, you could use the same courses, but you might have to buy the books you were using if you haven't already. (You should get the same credits, though, don't quote me on that.) Then, once the year is over, you can start using courses of your own choice. Good luck!
In most cases yes.
First of all, homeschooling covers a broad range of educational options.
I am assuming you are in public school. The following applies to credits you have received for completed semesters.
If you are enrolling in a virtual charter school, it is in fact a public school and should accept any credits you already have.
If you are enrolling in a private distance education school (either online or postal correspondence), most will accept public school credits.
If you are homeschooling without enrolling in a program, it is usually up to your parents, but could depend on the laws where you live...ie if the law requires an umbrella school to oversee homeschooling, it will depend on the rules for the umbrella school.
I believe if you stop where your at now you will have to retake the course. if you had started at the beginning of a semester i don't think there would have been any problem.
