Could I put a Detroit Diesel Series 50 into an SUV?

I would like to replace the stock engine of an SUV (2001 Ford) with a Detroit Diesel engine. I am not aiming for it to be a daily driver, I want it to be a kind of "mule" car that I could use to tow heavy objects. I don't mind cutting the frame to fit it. I was just wondering if it was possible.
