So I brought dell XPS 8100. Intel i-7 860 chip. 8G RAM. 2T hard drive. ATI 5770 video card. My old busted PC, was able to play, read, write CD and DVD. My new PC came with Blue Ray Player, writer to DVD/CD etc. In hardware, its says everything works fine. I could play CD, it does play the cd whether its music or files on the CD disc. Its displays the Blue Ray Driver. etc. I however cannot play DVD, BLUE RAY. And the worst I cannot burn to CD, DVD, Blue Ray. I have ROXIO 10. I downloaded all the free burning software but all fail. All getting me erros with DLL. Here is a shot of info.

It seems that the Device is defective. they are going to replace it. I have a single panasonic optical drive that reads and writes to Blue Ray, DVD, CD. etc. Why would it play Cd, but wont play DVD or Blue Ray, or WORSE. I cant even burn to anything. I used windows media player, windows media center, NERO burner all failed. All with the updated drivers. So at this point it has to be the Hardware which is defective. Im just mad as hec, that I payed $ lots of money and that hardware is like $230 added to the PC.
