could this be a scientific explanation on premonitions?

alright mind you this is just a theory no proof or anything really to back it but what if premonitions were more scientific then most think? we only use about 10% of our brain so what if certain people had a tad bit more unlocked and this tad bit allowing them to subconsciously take in everything they see and hear and know and roll it all together and calculate it like a mathematical equation thus allowing to know what is going to happen in the future of course with a margin for error.
this sorta just hit me so forgive me if it's a bit sketchy but anyways I want some insight on what others think about this.
lol oh well thanks for correcting me. like I said it just popped into my head so before
I forgot it I wrote it down. didn't have time to do a shit load of research.
sorry Rev. T but i have no intent of ever converting so please if you ever see a post of mine again please don't link anything meant to convert me.
thank you
they way i see it is that they way a premonition is made is the same way we map the stars and figure out when the next eclipse is going to happen and such except on a subconscious level.

That's an urban legend. We use 100% of our brain, not just 10%.

People tapping into their subconscious sides have been known to perform ESPs and remote-viewing. But its still pretty much a grey area; very hard to speculate.

Once upon a time, there were prophets, sooth sayers, witches, the higher clergy members who all say they could "see" into the future.
Today, we call them clairvoyants, spiritualists, tarot card readers, etc etc. and we pay them to tell us the future.
Over time, it has become almost a "party trick" if someone is gifted enough to use their "grey matter" in prophesying.
Premonitions are another way for us lowly humans to gain an insight of what is to come before us. Many do not wish to believe that it is possible for all of us to have these abilities.
This is why centuries ago the aristocracy like King Henry decided he wanted his own religion and everyone had to follow what he ordered regardless of an individuals belief. Now we are all these centuries down the track and we have more than one religion and we are all still arguing who is right and who is wrong.
Premonitions ? Maybe the one I had about a very large spaceship hovering over our planet and people being levitated off the ground (the rapture to christians) and our world as we know it, is never the same again.

I always saw "premonition" as instinct. How many times, when hearing from a victim do you hear "I had this horrible feeling"? How many survivors say they just had a feeling?
We are animals. Animals have instincts for dangers and so do we.

As far as psychic type premonitions I dont' believe them. We've done ample research on it and nothing has been found yet in any forms. Plus there are too many viable futures for us to be able to predict just one or even a few.

Yeah, I've had the same thought before.

Firstly, as Muhammed Asif said, it's a common misconception that we only use 10% of our brains, so you'd need another mechanism for it to be valid.

It's a good hypothesis. If you know anything of determinism, you'd know it is hypothetically possible to predict the future using current actions to predict the next moment in time (future reactions). It is however improbable, as you'd need to calculate a vast amount of data on top of being able to extract such information in the first place.
