Cracked lg optimus black?

I recently (5days ago) purchased an LG optimus black P970 smartphone. Yesterday, my friend knocked me and it came flying out of my jumper pocket onto the concrete. It is now covered in severe cracks, but surprisingly, the touchscreen is still responsive. In other words, I can use my phone completely, but the cracks look horrible and are annoying. Is there any way I can replace it myself for minimal cost? Or somewhere in Australia I can get it repaired cheaply? Thank you.
