I've been on the Depo shot for almost 9 months now. September 1 will make 9 months.
Anyway, after my first shot, my periods were gone. Completely. I've lived period free and happy for the past 7 months, but this month, has been horrible.
I'm not due to get my next injection until September 1, but I've started bleeding. A lot. And cramping. Severely.
I will add that I had a fallopian cyst removed on January 5th of 2010, and I also had some endometrial tissue removed from my uterus. Before the surgery, I had periods and cramping much like this one. I had been on the Pill for 3 years prior to this surgery, and still managed to get cysts, so I switched to the shot, because it was supposed to take care of everything.
And, as I said, it has, until now.
I'm in a pretty decent amount of pain.
I'm going to see my doctor Monday, but I was wondering if anyone else dealt with this after being on Depo for an extended period of time.
It just doesn't make sense as to why all of this would be happening now, so far into my usage.
