Creative title for a project about Lincoln-Douglas debates?
Are you really saying the debates led to Lincoln being assasinated??? Better re-think that.
(You can only make the argument in philosophy i.e. if he hadn't been president then he wouldn't have been assasinated and if hadn't won the debates he wouldn't have been president -- not sure of that either).

I'm doing a project on how the lincoln-douglas debates led to Lincoln becoming president, Illinois state moniker, and Lincoln becoming assassinated.
My thesis is:
Lincoln and Douglas held a series of 7 debates in 1858 in the state of Illinois. Three consequences of these debates are: Lincoln becoming president, Illinois state moniker, and Lincoln becoming assassinated. The debates were both a success and a failure.
