Blood trickled down his nose, onto the ground, as he took another blow to the face. "Please..." whimpered Sean. And another. His body swayed, and his hands extended outwards, though he was seconds too late. His shoulder took the first beating. The echoing sound of the cracking was like chalk to a chalkboard. Unable to move, bleeding from head to toe, and in unbearable pain, Sean uttered the words, "understand past, brighter future". An unanimous expression consumed the faces of those present in the room. **
----------------------------------------------------*
The novel is about a man, called Sean, who wakes up in the middle of a street, surrounded by hundreds of other people laying next to him. Sean is the only person now on the entire earth that has a partial understanding of what had happened (massive terrorist attack). Everyone else's memory has been wiped clean. As a result, all evidence of history is erased. However, Sean does not know everything. It slowly comes back to him, as he recalls various memories and information.*

They say understanding the past is the only way to move forward into the future without repeating history's darkest moments. But what happens when all evidence (memory, too) of history is erased? Do we live on like nothing happened and consequently, repeat history? Or, do we uncover the secrets from the past to live a more desirable lifestyle? That is essentially Sean's decision and he chooses the latter option. However, if only he is aware of what actually happened, and no one else has any knowledge of the past, then no else but Sean will know and understand what happened in the past.*

Because of this, Sean witnesses the very start of history repeating itself (racism, communism, global warming etc). His aim is to inform but most importantly, get them to believe that there is a past and if they don't learn from it, history will repeat itself and mankind will suffer a great deal if it does.
Of course, having every single persons' memory erased, leads Sean sounding absolutely delusional to everyone. Yet he carries on to prove that he is right. The world does not approve of this and we essential see the hate and abuse thrown at him, as it happened with Jesus (I'm not Christian, btw).

The beginning of the story (first paragraph) is repeated from an extract of the middle, where he is first abused.*

What do you think? Confusing, I know... Haha.

P.S. I haven't completely decided how the terrorist attack will occur.

Sorry for repost. Just need opinions before I continue writing.
