Cross country/ bike riding H E L P M E ! !?

I am a freshman girl on my school's cross country and waterpolo teams, and I'm supposed to be doing 40 minutes of constant running/jogging 5 days a week.

So heres the problem: Im on vacation in utah and I could run, but Im also doing a lot of biking. LIke around 4 hrs a day, about half of that is uphill, the other half is flat or coasting. Can i substitute biking for running, and if so, how much would equal 40 mins???
