Cruise with the in-laws! And I just found out I'm pregnant! EEEEK?

My in-laws and I have a very polite relationship. I go to dinner at their house, say please and thank you, and go home. I really have very little in common with them except for their son. I find them to be rude and judgmental and just try to grin and bear dinners over there.

Now they are taking us and my bro-in-law and his girlfriend on a cruise. We pay for the airfare (which is already money i'd rather spend elsewhere $550) and they pay for the cruise. So it is the kind of thing where we kind of have to go, but it means sacrificing a trip to go see my best friend's new baby because we can't afford both. So I'm a bit stressed about the money, about being in my first trimester on a cruise ship, and about being with my in-laws that much. I've never spent more time with them than a long dinner or brunch.

Tips on how to cope?
 
Be sure to take lots of Dramamine with you to help combat any morning sickness you might get while on the cruise - no sense in having to deal with that AND the in-laws too

well this might be a great time to get to know them
take is as an opportunity to get to know them and you also
I know how in laws are believe me
but what a fab trip and place to do this
I think it will be good for you and it will not effect baby in the slightest - it will be good for you
try and spend time with them and get to know them further and at the end of it you will either know whether its going to make or break you over them

If they know you're pregnant then thats the best excuse to escape them now and then!

haha sounds like a sicky situation, try to avoid them on the ship, you might want to look up things that can help with morning sickness, ur likely to get sickon a cruise wih all the motion etc

Just chill out girl! Your pregnant, congratulations its supposed to be a holiday. let everything go over your head xx
