Here's my wishlist if resources:
Water, Wheat, Lumber, Aluminum, Iron, Marble, Cattle, Sugar, Spices, Pigs, Fish, Uranium

Do you think those are good resources to have in combination or should I focus on different resources?

I have Uranium, Cattle, Spices, Iron, Sugar, and Aluminum right now.

Those are awesome resources. You can get construction / beer / fast food as great bonus resources and get a few fillers. Try to get water / lumber / marble / wheat / aluminum / cattle / pigs and spices, and whatever fillers you want.

Also, i have my taxes at 23%, thats the highest i can put it where my nation is still in love with me. should i raise it to the highest and just have them adore me? will i make more or less money on my next paycheck?

well your trades are looking ok. Work on getting... Beer, fast food, and construction as your bonus resources. Also work on buying infra infra infra all the time. And get factories when you can.
