D link router not picking up signal from netgear modem.?

I have a netgear modem with a dlink router. It was working fine until recently when the wires were disconnected and than connected back again. After this my internet would connect but not be able to get onto the internet until i restarted it a few times. When i checked the router administration through 192.168.0.1, i realised that instead of going to the dlink site it goes to the netgear site. while i kept trying i realised that at one point i managed to get to dlink but before i could click on anything it stopped working. How can i change this back to dlink.

Assuming you didn't change any settings this should be pretty easy to fix. Turn your computer off, unplug your modem and router. Plug your modem back in and wait for the lights to stabilize. You might see the CABLE or DSL light go solid green when its ready. If not wait a minute then plug your router in and turn your computer back on.
