The news continues to be bad for Darrell Arthur of the Memphis Grizzlies. Last season, he missed the entire season after tearing his Achilles tendon in his right leg. Now with training camp around the corner, Arthur is out again. This time, he was a fractured left leg.
The Grizzlies expect Arthur to be out up to six weeks due to this latest injury. The bright side for Arthur is that it’s a non-displaced fracture and he should be able to play on it once he’s pain-free. That said, don’t expect him to be active when the season stars.
Back in the 2010-11 season, Arthur was one of the most improved players in the entire NBA. The 6-foot-9 power forward averaged 9.1 points, 4.2 rebounds and 0.8 blocks in only 20.1 minutes per game.
