dash lights not working after installing stereo?

i just installed a new stereo in my 97 geo tracker. the stereo works fine, but now my dash lights dont work. i cant find a fuse either under the dash or in the engine bay for dash lights. i unplugged the wire for the dimmer/illumination on the stereo, but that didnt make any difference.

ideas?
 
You either didnt reconnect the dast lighting lead, or it completes a circuit through the radio. some were like that. My guess is that you didnt use an after market plug adapter?. I would wire the stock one back up if you didnt and get one. It will save you some hassle.
