I was in a relationship with my ex for over a year. We were each others first everything. I broke up with him because he started getting controlling. I am social and he wasn't and he didn't want me going out with friends to parties. We live about an hour apart because I moved away to go to college. Before I moved, we went to different high schools but we were only like 15 minutes away from each other by car. Anyways, I broke up with him and I don't regret anything at all. I sometimes think I miss him, and then I start thinking more and I realize I don't miss him, I just miss having the physicality of a boyfriend (cuddling, hugging, kissing, etc).
So now there's a guy that I recently figured out is in two out of my three classes this quarter. I think he realized this before I did. (I sit in a row closer to the front than he does in both classes.) However, in one of the classes, he sits the row behind me and one seat over. He's asked me a few questions on stuff in that class a couple times. But the other class, we sit on opposite sides of the room. In that class, he has gone across the 100+ person lecture hall, past the professor to ask me a question on how to do something. He seems to be finding more and more things to ask questions about and then seems to be trying to turn that into a conversation. However, I haven't really been letting in turn into a conversation.
So, my questions are: How soon is too soon to date after breaking off a relationship that was over a year? And could the guy talked about in the second paragraph be interested in me?
