because i am REALLY shy around guys. I like it when a boy shows his sense of humor around me, you know? like teasing a little, because it shows that you are friends. Like this one guy called me a dork. But i liked it because it meant that he was comfortable enough to know that i wouldn't take it offensively, you know? Also, if you have any classes with her, try to get in her group for a project or something. if you do, make SURE that you ask her to work on it outside of class. GREAT excuse.
