Yesterday, we told you about San Antonio sitting their top three stars against the Miami Heat. It turns out that NBA commissioner David Stern is unhappy with the decision.

In a statement prior to the game, Stern said that the decision was “unacceptable” and that the Spurs now face “substantial sanctions” due to their action.

Unfortunately for Stern, he’s getting ripped by media from across the globe. How does the NBA commissioner think he’s going to get in the business of coaching coaches without embarking down a steep slippery slope? It’s impossible.

There’s no word yet what “substantial sanctions” will entail, however anything more than a fine will be surprising.
