My friend (we're not very close) has a MAJOR crush on this guy. And I'm friends with one of this guy's mates. We were chatting one day & he asked me to hook him up a cute girl & I was like you hook me up a cute guy first & he went "how about X? he's lonely too" & this X is the guy my friend has a crush on. I was like "him? absolutely not!!" he wanted 2 know why but I didn't tell him coz my friend doesnt want any1 2 find out about her crush. this week I found out that he went & told him that I was interested now he's like smirking whenever I pass in front of him & told every1 "the prettiest girl in school has a crush on me" now I dont think I'm the prettiest gal but that what he said & my friend heard it & now she's SO pissed I tried 2 tell her that X's mate was messing with me, telling X I like him when I dont, but she didnt believe me & she's like SO popular (so I am, or rather was, until this came out) & aparently it's a social suicide 2 like her crush... It's SO stupid & it's not even true!! Even the teachers think I'm a bad friend now she tells it like he was her bf & I stole him so I'm the bf stealer now... What do I do how do I deal with these rumors??
