what are you thoughts on a Delray-boynton war?
does it become a battle at the border, or control on the roads?
obviously delray's capital street is linton and boynton's is boynton rd.
closer to the borderboynton has significant woolbright, and delray has atlantic, though boyton is at a major disadvantage because woolbright is so close to delray's borders and the defenses between the two are weak.
for boynton to attack east of the tracks is a nightmare, or even east of swinton.... going through george bush and the surrounding area, and attacking up swinton is an impossibility. a i-95 attack is possible but doesnt offer any advantages, and they would have to pass through lake ida to get to even atlantic. lake ida is good for defense for delray, and it's destruction wouldn't be nearly as bad as boynton losing woolbright, the first stop for delray on I-95, and the 2nd stop is close by boynton!

delray has a HUGE advantage along the entire west of i-95 border. boynton's area there is sparsely populated golf course community, and delray has a densely packed middle class nieghborhood. just west of i-95 boynton only has a fields an a few buildings for defense

boyntons length is an advantage, most of the important areas are farther in the city....UNLESS this makes it easy for delray to push in? not sure, think boynton has the advantage, lots of densely packed areas before their commercial center

i also think delray has wider spaces for more open defense, and a less "centralized" set up.

many other factors come into it. does the county (or state) allow use of non municipal land for maneuver and invasion, or do all attacks have to pass within the two borders?
what about the many communities within the borders?
and the massive population west?
where does gulf stream come into it? do they join delray? boynton? neutral?
do we presume involvement from other cities?
MAJOR advantageto boynton in controlling the inlet to the ocean, although delray does have a MUCH better beach for defense.
delray in general has a better concentrated geography for defense. very easy to moniter everywhere.
wide open spaces, hard to attack with stealth.
boyton's beachs are hidden and one can easily vanish into the eastern part of the city.
boynton's other advantages include the congress/gateway area, an extra top tier road with MAJOR centers of importance.
big advantage for delray- MUCH more island (east of intercoastal) space.
this adds another area for defense, AND the delray's islanders are very rich- in general, delray is wealthier, although partly due to the islands, and with higher median income and per capita.
boynton's non ghetto areas are primarily gated communities...better for individual defense, but poor for general city defense.
what do you think?
