What usually happens if both parents of two young kids have depression? We're a bit wary of telling our doctors exactly how we feel (even though the docs have acknoweledged depression) in case they get heavy with Health Visitors and we lose the kids. We're honestly doing the best we can but we would rather just pull a wall up to what's going than face up to it and risk losing our kids who are 2years old and 9 months old.

We look after them well enough and they are happy, bright kids, but I am very aware of how people with depression are looked on and treated.

If you have a problem, talk to your doctor. As long as you are taking care of your children, they won't take them away. As long as they aren't being neglected, they won't.
Its better to seek help.
