desktop computer is picking up the radio?

i am searching the web with my speakers on. it was turned down low and i started hearing voices. i turned my speakers up to see i was getting a radio station. how is this ? my desktop is literally picking up the radio . it isnt a laptop to get from satelite how is this possible?

That would be "radio frequency breakthrough
interference."

Basically your speakers are acting as an antenna and picking up the signal. This is also the reason speakers "freak out" when a cell phone is near and it goes off. My computer speakers would actually pick up my neighbors on their cordless phone!

You can try moving your speakers, or using twist ties to bunch up as many of the cords you can. When your cords are bunched up, and not just strung out where ever, the FRBI should be reduced.
