I just watched "Clash of the Titans" on the big screen a few days ago and I noticed a few things.
1) Persius should not have to worry about being turned to stone because he was half god. Being half god, this means he should have had enough godliness in him to withstand a curse that Athena was powerful enough to cast on Medusa. And being Athena cast the spell on Medusa, Athena's own spell would not do anything to herself or Zeus, so for Persius to be half of what these gods, surely he shouldn've shared enough of their god-like attritutues to NOT be affected by Medusa's gaze.
2) When Persius and the others were going to the underworld to fight Medusa, Zeus KNEW what they were all going to try to do since he gave Persius a gold coin to give to the ferry. Being Zeus and being probably more powerful than Athena, he would've had NO problem with bestowing the power to be immune to Medusa's gaze for both Persius and the other men, but he didn't. But he was powerful and smart enough to be able to, or at least give those men some fighting tactics on how to fight her and what to prepare for other than the stone-gazing curse.
3) She moved around like the laws of gavity didn't apply to her, like she didn't even weight a single pount. Even if she's half snake, she's still supposed to weigh more than a feather and it by logic and physcis was supposed to show whenever she moved around.
4) After Persius killed her and took her head, her gaze should NOT have affected the giant monster attacking the city because she was dead. If Medusa is DEAD, then her eyes and head of snakes should have had no effect anymore.
Bonus comment, I am apauled by all the tolerance everyone seems to tolerate in Greek Mythology. Immortals like Zeus and Athena are terrible, evil beings who do terrible evil things and their bad deeds far outweigh their good deeds. Mortals worship them and come to them for help, and they treat them sh#t. They were such digusting immortal beings that they did not deserve ANY worship. On top of that, even when the people DID worhip them, they didn't even let them reside with them on Mt. Olympus after they died, but rather were forced down into the underworld with Hades. If they were damned after they died no matter how they reacted to the gods, then worshipping hem was pointless.
