over 9 years old? Seemingly this is being done in europe,it boosts car sales according to the news, will we get a loan ,will pensioners get a free car? will folk on low incomes get a free care to travel to work, many places do not have public transport

They won't be able to enforce it. There are too many people with classic cars - including the royal family.

If they try, the law will never get past - or at least not this side of the next 10 years.

I wouldn't worry.

It wouldn't boost car sales from my point of view - I bought my car new in 1995 and do around 500 miles a year (just 2 miles into Town for the shopping). She's not run in yet!
My intention is to run her till I fall off my perch, which statistically can't be that far off. On a Married Woman's pension of just over £53 a week there is no way that I could afford to buy a replacement.
Public transport isn't always the answer - I have a Pensioner's bus pass, but the nearest bus stop is at the bottom of a steep hill and my home is at the top. Will the nice driver give me a piggy back from the bus stop, do you think?

That's going to piss the bloke off up the road with his 1936 Riley. Then mines 19 years old so I'm not over the moon.

Well, if they want to buy me a new one when my 9 years are up then all well and good

This goverment is living in a fantasy world!
