Did anyone see the statement McCain made on Economic Stimulus?

I read the whole thing, and no matter what your political affilliation is, I think the man has some very WISE (yes, years of bipartisan voting records that angered many GOP over his years) honest and important statements to make. Toward the end of the long statement he finally makes many suggestions rather than just stating what's wrong with this package.

Is this the same man who claimed the fundamentals of the economy are sound last year? Considering his tax problems I think the Republicans should have booted him the same way the demanded Dashell withdraw.
